CheckSEO is designed with a privacy-first principle. We minimize data collection and only collect information genuinely necessary to provide our service.

Automatically collected data:

• IP address (used for language location detection, stored maximum 24 hours in encrypted cache)
• Audited domain (temporarily cached for 1 hour for performance purposes)
• Browser technical data: browser type, operating system, screen resolution (for analytics purposes)
• Pages visited and visit timestamps (standard server logs)

Data we do NOT collect:

• Name, email address, or personal identity information (unless you fill in a notification form)
• Financial data or credit card information
• Passwords or account credentials
• Content from the websites you audit

How We Use Your Information

The information we collect is used solely to improve CheckSEO's service. We do not sell, rent, or trade your data to third parties.

• Service delivery: Processing SEO audit requests and displaying results
• Performance: Caching audit results to speed up repeated access
• Language detection: Using IP to display content in the appropriate language

Data Storage & Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

• All communications are encrypted using HTTPS/TLS
• Audit results are stored in local server cache with a 1-hour expiration
• IP geolocation data is cached for 24 hours then automatically deleted
• No user database — we do not store long-term profiles or usage history
• Access to server infrastructure is restricted and monitored

Cookies & Tracking Technologies

CheckSEO uses minimal cookies necessary for basic functionality. We do not use advertising tracking cookies or third-party profiling cookies.

• Language session cookie (checkseo_lang): Stores your language preference. Expires when browser is closed.
• PHP session cookie: Used for standard session management. Contains no personal data.

Third-Party Services

To deliver our service, CheckSEO interacts with the following external services:

• ip-api.com — Used to detect country from IP address for language display. Only sends your IP, no other data. Their privacy policy applies.
• Google Fonts — Manrope font is loaded from Google Fonts servers. Google may receive your IP when loading the font.
• Google PageSpeed Insights API — (Optional) If configured, used to obtain Core Web Vitals data. The audited domain is sent to Google.

We do not send your personal data to any third parties. Each interaction with third-party services is limited to the minimum data required.

Your Rights

Although we collect minimal data, you still have the following rights:

• Right of access: Know what data we hold about you
• Right to erasure: Request deletion of cache data associated with your IP
• Right to object: Object to certain data processing
• Right to portability: Receive a copy of your data in a machine-readable format

Children's Privacy
